Who owns my photos/videos/content once I upload them to zInspector?
You do. Your content is your content. We will never sell or publish your photos, videos, documents, and inspection results. However, we do reserve the rights to access and copy them. For example, we make low resolution copies of your photos so you can quickly browse your information from our website.
Can I delete my content once it has been uploaded to zInspector?
Yes, you can delete individual photos/videos and/or properties as you require. zInspector will not retain your information if you choose to delete it.
If I delete one of my users, what happens to their data?
Nothing. If a Group Owner, deletes any of their Group Members, all of the previous inspection data remains on the Group Owners account. The data continues to be tagged with the deleted user, so the historical reference is maintained but you no longer need to pay for that user. In addition, that user’s zInspector mobile app will be locked from accessing your company data.
What does zInspector do with my personal data and information? Am I protected?
For detailed information, please see our Terms of Service. Simply put, zInspector software is designed to keep your personal information and data secure. zInspector will not share or sell your personal information. zInspector does not own any content you generate.
Will zInspector work on my mobile device(s)?
zInspector has been tested and found to be compatible with most standard devices. You can use a tablet one day and your phone the next.
iOS: iPhone 3, 4, 5, 6, iPad Mini, and iPad…basically, we work with all of them!
Android: Should work on Android 2.2 or higher, devices equipped with an ARMv7 processor or higher. We have only tested on the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, Nexus 7, Nexus 5, and Motorola X. Kindle: zInspector works on the Amazon Fire series of devices. Basically, all of them with a color screen and camera.
Can I use different devices simultaneously and/or change devices as needed?
Yes, zInspector has the most powerful sync capability on the market. New devices are up in about 30 seconds. You can always change devices or use different devices simultaneously.
Can I manually upload photos to the zInspector web portal without a mobile device?
Yes. From your zInspector account, click on Properties, click on the appropriate Property Name, and then click on Upload Photo. You can upload photos up to 8 MB in size. This is a great feature if you have legacy photos or take new photos with a DSLR. You can bulk upload many pictures at one time.
Can I change information once it has been uploaded?
Yes, you can edit all inspections even after they have been uploaded providing the Group Owner of your account gives you sufficient access privileges.
Are my photos secure?
All communications between your computer or mobile device(s) and our server are encrypted. In addition, your passwords are encrypted. We do not, however, encrypt your photos/inspections. Technically, a zInspector employee could login to your account and view them. We have no intention of doing so, beyond what may be necessary to provide you stellar technical support.
How does zInspector back up the photos and information I upload?
zInspector performs daily backups of all of your photos in the event of any server issues. We utilize Amazon server resources to provide you with highly reliable and redundant storage.
Do I have options for downloading / backing up my photos away from zInspector?
You have lots! zInspector has the most flexible reporting options in the industry which include:
- PDF Reports to Unlimited Email Addresses
- PDF Reports to Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, Dot Loop, and more!
- User-by-user Report Settings
- Download Zip option for all uncompressed photos
